Pour un animal, se réveiller après une intervention chirurgicale est souvent un moment difficile. L’effet de l’anesthésie et l’environnement est très stressant pour l’animal qui se sent perdu et désorienté.
Et c’est exactement ce qu’a ressenti Meesha, une adorable petite chienne abandonnée qui venait d’être opérée. Dennis Moses, assistant en chirurgie au BARCS Animal Shelter, un refuge pour animaux, a décidé de réconforter la petite chienne apeurée.
Un des bénévoles qui travaille au refuge a alors filmé ce moment vraiment touchant où l’on voit Dennis en train de bercer la petite Meesha comme un bébé.
Baby Meesha was coming off her anesthesia and was a little scared because her body felt so weird. BARCS Surgical Assistant Dennis Moses took her out into the quiet hallway to comfort her. One of our awesome volunteers just happened to be walking by to capture this sweet moment. Thank you to Dennis and all the staff who work long, tireless hours in the background of our shelter—saving lives and loving the animals. (Turn on the sound, it will melt your heart!)

Meesha a finalement trouvé une famille qui l’a adoptée. Merci à toutes ces personnes qui se dévouent pour prendre soin des animaux !
